Office relocation

An office move involves more than desks and cartons. Workstations, documents, equipment and access to both buildings need a clear plan so each item arrives where it belongs.

Office relocation
01

Make an inventory

Count desks, chairs, screens, cabinets, meeting rooms and non-standard equipment. Identify what must remain in use until the final working day.

02

Coordinate access

Check loading hours, service lifts, truck stopping points and carrying distance at both premises. Reserve a lift with building management where required.

03

Plan the destination

Label cartons by department and destination room. Have responsible specialists back up data and disconnect sensitive equipment. Confirm whether packing and reassembly are included in the quote.

For a relevant proposal, send both addresses, date, inventory, floors, lift details and photographs of large items. Mention packing, disassembly or a tail lift in advance. The online estimate does not replace agreement on the final scope.

Practical examples

01

Small office with 4–6 workstations

List desks, chairs, screens, printer and document boxes. Assign one person to check labels and open the destination. List each person’s devices and document cartons, not only the desks. Photograph connections before unplugging and assign destination positions so workstation sets are easy to find.

02

Office for 20–30 staff

Group equipment by team and prepare a floor plan. Reserve the service lift and plan IT disconnection before moving day. Plan the sequence by department. A team contact checks the inventory, IT staff handle backups, and marked unloading zones reduce repeated carrying inside the new office.

03

Office with meeting and reception areas

Add the conference table, cabinets, reception desk and video equipment. Check the carrying route for each bulky item. A long table may not clear a corridor turn or lift. Share tabletop measurements and route photos; keep reception finishes and removable glass away from pressure by heavy cartons.
