A split delivery can serve a new home and a storage unit, or two households, but it must be planned as one complete route.

01

Create a destination-by-item list

Assign every piece of furniture and box to its final address before moving day. Mark labels with a simple destination code and keep a matching key on your phone. For example, beds and kitchen cartons may go to the new apartment while seasonal furniture goes to storage. Give the mover both addresses, contacts, access windows and the item list for each stop.

02

Plan unloading order and pricing

Ask how the stops affect travel time, vehicle space and the order in which items are loaded. Confirm waiting time, storage access and any second-leg handling in the quote. At each destination, identify a person who can accept delivery and direct placement. If the split changes, send one updated inventory and get written confirmation before the truck is loaded.
