Keep the sewing machine, its support and small tools organized as a complete workstation rather than a mixed box of equipment.

01

Distinguish a portable machine from a fixed workstation

A household machine in a carry case, a machine recessed into a cabinet and an industrial sewing table are different moving jobs. Record the model and photograph the machine together with its stand, foot control and accessories. Check the instructions for packing and transport, including how detachable components are secured; do not treat a decorative dust cover as a protective shipping case. If the machine is mounted into a table or connected to a separate drive, have the appropriate specialist decide what can be disconnected. For example, a hobby corner moving within Holon may have a portable machine and folding table, while a workshop moving to Rishon LeZion may include several fixed stations and fabric storage. List them separately so the mover can evaluate weight, access and packing. Secure sharp tools in suitable closed containers and keep them out of loose fabric bags.

02

Pack by station and check the contents at delivery

Group each machine with its compatible pedal, removable cable, manual and accessory box, using a station number on every package. Pack thread, bobbins and small fittings in closed organizers rather than leaving them in drawers that may open. Fabric rolls, cutting mats and patterns need their own inventory; avoid placing heavy furniture on them. If the original protective packaging is available and suitable, show it to the mover before agreeing on extra materials. Measure the remaining table frame and the route to the new workroom, including any narrow interior door. Decide in advance who will reinstall a fixed machine and verify its alignment or drive connections; transport does not automatically include technical servicing. At arrival, count the labeled packages and inspect visible condition before putting everything into storage. Test equipment according to its own instructions once installed. Keep the order realistic: reliable access and organized accessories matter more than rushing to start a sewing project immediately after unloading.
