Plan food separately and prepare the appliance by model
Record the model, external dimensions and the location of handles, hinges and cables. A chest freezer is not interchangeable with an upright refrigerator in a moving inventory: its width, lid and carrying route may be different. Make a separate plan for its contents before disconnecting it; ordinary furniture transport should not be assumed to provide temperature-controlled food transport. Follow the manufacturer instructions for emptying, defrosting, cleaning and drying, allowing enough preparation time. Do not chip away ice or experiment with tools in the internal lining. Prepare baskets and removable accessories only as the model permits, and keep drainage parts identified. For example, a freezer in a Rehovot utility room may pass through one door but not the turn from a service balcony, while a delivery to Rishon LeZion may have a different lift entrance. Photograph both routes and tell the mover about any installation that needs an appropriate specialist.
Agree on handling and reconnection before loading
Check the largest prepared dimensions against door openings, turns and lift limits. The appliance manual should determine transport orientation and any required standing period before reconnection; do not apply a universal number of hours copied from another model. Agree how the lid, cable and external parts are secured without relying on a handle or hinge as a lifting point. Do not remove a lid or tensioned hinge merely to squeeze through a doorway without the appropriate instructions and expertise. At delivery, verify the appliance identity, accessories and visible condition before discarding the protection. Prepare its intended location and suitable access to power, then follow the model guidance for installation and restart. Repairs, electrical work and handling of the food are separate responsibilities unless expressly included. Confirm them in writing with packing, floors and the final placement so the single-item quote reflects the actual job.
